Nationwide Energy Partners joins policymakers and utility commissioners at the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners Committee Meetings
We’re proud of the way Nationwide Energy Partners takes a unique approach to serving the water and electricity needs of our customers in commercial properties and multifamily communities. James Dunn, Corporate Counsel for NEP, wore our distinctiveness as a badge of honor at a conference in our nation’s capital in February.
Dunn represented NEP at the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC) Winter Committee Meetings. The conference offered attendees the latest information from U.S. federal policymakers, consumer advocates, industry officials and other stakeholders. Subjects included the latest on the Environmental Protection Agency’s Clean Power Plan, the Federal Communications Commission’s Internet neutrality proposal, and updates on grid modernization, natural-gas safety and utility interdependencies.
Dunn informally met with utility commissioners, policymakers, technology companies and others in the industry to discuss NEP and how we do business in each of their states.
Dunn says he was pleased to see how NEP stood apart from the traditional utility companies at the NARUC conference and was proud to explain the company’s distinctive approach to energy.
“It’s unique for a company like ours to participate in such a traditional type of setting,” Dunn said. “The response to NEP’s innovative approach was well received by the conference attendees. There was lots of interest in the possibilities of what our solution can offer, specifically to the multifamily sector. Commissioners realize this is a segment that is currently significantly under served from and energy efficiency standpoint.”
